A little bit about me. I have been coming up to Higgins Lake since 1965 as a 10 year old boy with my parents and brother when my parents bought a vacant lakefront property here. My father started building a cabin then and at 94 is still working on it. :) My brother and I would fish, shoot BB guns, pick black berries, swim, snowmobile and many other things. In 1979 I moved up to Higgins Lake from Saginaw. Shortly after I married the love of my life and we raised three children here. With the creation of the cell phone it gave me access to a camera that led to taking shots of Higgins Lake and eventually I bought a camera. When I was younger I took for granted the area for the most part of what we have here but as I grow older I appreciate it more and try to display it through my work. I love it. when I hear someone talk about their memories of the lake and how the photos helped generate those memories.
My wife and I bought a place in Southwest Florida a few years back and you will see a few shots of that area as well.
